Family Pride is a patient safety guide that was developed by hospital based nurses who recognized the need for change.
As a commitment to the community, Family Pride was created and taught locally . As we realized the lack of knowledge in our own community, it was obvious that this had to be a global problem.
In further commitment, our goal is to provide a patient advocate for you, at no cost, if you have a loved one in the hospital and you simply can't be there. This will be at a cost to us, and since we rely solely on grants and donations, we simply need the capitol to provide this service. HELP US HELP YOU. Imagine having a child or parent of spouse in the hospital and you have to make a choice between being there or earning money. We can be your eyes and ears, as well as provide the companionship that the patient needs.
We have made a commitment to help raise the level of education that the public has related to health care issues.
We propose the challenge to all health care providers to assume the role of patient advocate for at least five people. Imagine this, if one million providers did this, that would be 5 million people that might be saved from medical errors!!
